The Rated R Superstars is one of the greats in the history of WWE. Even after making a comeback after the injury, Edge has taken his performance to another level. Here are the top 5 WrestleMania matches of Edge.
Even though the match will be remembered for John Cena’s out of the way try to pull a double AA on Edge and Show, I feel that this has to be one of the best WrestleMania matches for the Rated R Superstar.
The Ultimate Oppurtunist competed for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, where he defended the title against two of the all-time greats of WWE, Edge and Big Show, and both were working as a heel.
They teamed up together to put on a double team against Cena, but Hustle Loyalty and Respect overcame the odds to win the match. It has some great moments and a solid triple threat contest.
Edge made a comeback return at the 2010 Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant and won it, setting up a clash between him and his former teammate for the World Heavyweight Championship.
This match was a clash of the giants, not physically but mostly mentally. Since Chris Jericho and Edge have been tag team partners, they know each other well, which made this a fantastic match and with their vast experience, both made the match a belter.
The Rated R Superstar didn’t get the win, though but was able to spear him through the barricade post-match to get his heat back.
This was the first-ever Money in the Bank ladder match and was a fresh concept. The game took place at WrestleMania and was involved some of the most vital talents of the locker room.
The Rated R Superstar put on a great show among the others as he climbed the ladder and retrieved the briefcase, winning the first-ever match.
This match was almost a tie between the best and second-best as it contains one of the best WrestleMania moments ever created. As The Rated R Superstar speared Mick Foley through a table that was on fire. They went all out for this match.
It was a complete hardcore match as both used several weapons and made this an excellent encounter. Edge, however, lost the game to Foley, who was at the top of his performance.
This can arguably be Edge’s best WrestleMania match ever as he was main eventing WrestleMania against the legend Undertaker. It was for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Edge pushed Undertaker throughout the match with some near falls, and it seemed like the streak will get over. However, the Hells Gate forced Edge to tap out as the streak continued. This match would certainly be of the top 10 WrestleMania matches for The Undertaker as well. The Rated R Superstar showed what he is made of.
