Top three Fantasy Premier League performers till Game Week 4
The 2018/19 Fantasy Premier League season is well underway and in the four game weeks so far, FPL managers have had their fair share of joy and disappointments. Here, we take a look at three of the best players in the FPL campaign so far.
Marcos Alonso
The Chelsea left-back started this campaign just like he started the last one. He is the highest scorer among all the players in the game with 44 points. His attacking prowess truly makes Alonso an FPL gem.
Under Maurizio Sarri, Eden Hazard often roams behind the striker to find and exploit little pockets of space, thus allowing Alonso to attack as a left-winger. Apart from scoring the winner against Arsenal, he has provided 5 assists and kept 2 clean sheets.
These attacking returns have more than made up for the goals Chelsea conceded in the first four games. The fixture list remains kind to the Blues and there is no reason why the Spaniard can’t go on and on.
Sadio Mane
Mohamed Salah was supposed to be the star man for most of the FPL managers this season. But the FPL gods have changed the scripts and suddenly, it’s Mane who is getting all the points.
The Senegalese international has scored 4 goals so far, taking his tally to 39 points. This situation has forced more than 1.2 million managers to retain him since GW1. But with the Champions League on the horizon, Mane might face rotation or exhaustion because of the unforgiving schedule.
Andrew Roberston
Although Robertson hasn’t been scoring goals or providing assists like Benjamin Mendy or Alonso, he has quietly accumulated 32 points. He has supplied 2 assists so far and has helped Liverpool keep 3 clean sheets in 4 games.

However, he is up there as the 4th highest point scorer because of his bonus points. Robertson is a BPS magnet and has 131 points to his name, enabling him to get 1.5 Bonus Points per game – the second-highest in the league. The only problem with Robertson, however, is that there is a slight chance of him being rotated when the Champions League and the League Cup kick in.
