Tottenham vs Wolves prediction: Tottenham line-up

Tottenham host Nuno Espirito’s Wolves side on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what would be a high-octane encounter.

Jose Mourinho’s men are heading into this game on the back of back-to-back losses against RB Leipzig and Chelsea. They will have to win the game to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive.

On the other hand, Wolves have been outstanding this season and would not make it easier for Spurs.

Team News

Mourinho will be without some of his key players including Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min, both of whom have undergone surgery. Moussa Sissoko and Ryan Sessegnon will be other notable absentees for the game.

Youngster Juan Foyth is also set to be out of the team due to a groin strain.

Probable Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Hugo Lloris (GK)

The Frenchman has done well since his return from injury. He is the first choice between the sticks for Spurs and would be hoping to keep a clean sheet.

Serge Aurier (RB)

Aurier was on the bench for the last game and the Lilywhites clearly missed him at right-back. He should start ahead of Japhet Tanganga as he offers a lot more in the attack.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

The Colombian is slowly getting back to form and can be the future of Tottenham’s defence. He would retain his spot.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

The Belgian has been one of the most consistent members for Tottenham in the past few years but his performance has not been up to the mark this season. A senior figure in the team, he will partner Sanchez in the heart of the defence.

Ben Davies (LB)

The 26-year-old was average against Chelsea and offered nothing in the attack. He is the only left-back available in the ranks and is likely to continue.

Harry Winks (CM)

The English international needs to put in a huge shift in his game. His hard work on the field has been brilliant and he will be key to stop Wolves’ attacks.

Tanguy Ndombele (CM)

Though he has not lived up to the expectations, Ndombele should start and make a difference for his team as he has the quality to do well.

Giovani Lo Celso (RW)

The former Real Betis man was lucky to escape a red card against the Blues but played with purpose. He seems to have a lot more to offer in both offensive and defensive situations.

Dele Alli (AM)

Alli will be key in unlocking Wolves’ tight defence. He is expected to start after being benched for the previous game.

Steven Bergwijn (LW)

The Dutchman can work wonders and should start in the absence of Son. He is expected to support Moura up front and needs to bang in goals regularly.

The Brazilian will be the lone striker up front and needs to be more clinical in front of the goal.
