Left-back is a position that the club is keen to strengthen. Andrew Robertson is the undisputed first choice at the club. he has played 70 of Liverpool’s last 74 Premier League games and it is essential that the club brings in a dependable backup.

Makeshift left-back James Milner has acted as a commendable backup to the Scot. However, at 34 he is not getting any younger. Youngster Yasser Larouci too is keen to seek his fortunes elsewhere which leaves the spot lightweight in terms of backup.
