Former WWE Superstar Keith Lee makes a surprising debut on AEW Dynamite 

Former NXT Champion Keith Lee has finally arrived in All Elite Wrestling after ending his non-compete clause of 90 days.

AEW Dynamite episode saw the former NXT Champion revealed a “huge” signing by Tony Khan and has been teasing since last week. It has also been reported that Lee was set to debut immediately, which he apparently did on Dynamite this week.

Lee came in to take on Isaiah Kassidy in a qualifying match to join the AEW “Face of the Revolution” ladder match at the Revolution pay-per-view on March 6, 2022. 

AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter and gave the news of this massive signing of Keith Lee.

He was released from the WWE on November 4, and various stars like Karrion Kross, Ember Moon, Eva Marie, Nia Jax etc. He officially became a free agent on February 3 when his non compete clause expired.

Lee was successful with WWE as he became the first-ever simultaneous NXT North American and World Champion on WWE. He was even called to get the main roster in August 2020 and even victory over Randy Orton in his first-ever pay-per-view at the Payback in September.

He was pulled out of matches due to contracting COVID-19 followed by heart inflammation, and after a long hiatus, he finally came back in an open challenge against then WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, which he lost.

Keith Lee’s debut at AEW on Dynamite has created havoc among the fans as they are really excited for his matches and took to Twitter to react to this signing. Many fans are proposing various opponents for Lee. However, some fans also praised Tony Khan for this signing.

It will be interesting to see how Lee performs at AEW as some of the more prominent stars in the wrestling industry compete in it. However, it was fascinating to see this former champion finally getting deserved recognition at AEW.
