Trevon Diggs attended Thomas Sprigg Wootton High School before switching to Avalon School to play for Tyree Spinner. He was two-time All-Washington D.C. Metro selection at receiver, earning a scholarship to the University of Alabama.
Diggs played safety, wide receiver, and was a return specialist before switching to the cornerback position in his sophomore year. He, unfortunately, suffered an injury in his junior year but started 12 games as a senior.
The Cowboys leapt at the opportunity to sign him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Diggs forced a fumble against D.K. Metcalf in Week 3 of his rookie campaign. He started impressing right from the get-go, recording his first two career interceptions in Week 8, against the Philadelphia Eagles.
He scored his first career touchdown in 2021, against the Eagles itself. The 23-year-old was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month in September. He tied the record for most consecutive games with an interception to start a season with six games. Diggs also finished the season by leading the league in interceptions at 11.
