Rafael Nadal is considered as the greatest to have played on clay, something that Andy Roddick highlighted
Spanish sensation Rafael Nadal will go down in the history books as one of the greatest to have played tennis, something that Andy Roddick knows for sure.
The 33-year-old has won 19 Grand Slam titles in his career but it seems he was born to play on clay.
Nadal has won 12 French Open titles in his career, and he isn鈥檛 done yet. He is one of the few players to have completed a career Grand Slam (winning all four Slams) and has also won Olympic gold twice.
The Spaniard also has had several rivalries over the years with the ones against Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic the most high profile.
He did have some battles with American star Roddick and holds a 7-3 lead over the former player.
Surprisingly, the pair never faced each other at Roland Garros and the last time they met was in 2011 at the US Open.
Nadal came out on top in that clash but Roddick still has some great words for his former rival.
The American commented on a dancing competition where one child was miles better than the rest. The kid could be seen doing an imitation of a robot, and Roddick claimed that his skills were akin to Nadal playing on clay.

Nadal has been exceptional at the French Open in recent years and has won the last three finals.
He reached the quarter-final of the Australian Open but saw Novak Djokovic ultimately win the crown.
The fans certainly enjoyed this tweet from Roddick and here are some of their reactions:

The kid in white around 30 that stops and stares at him is the rest of the players on the ATP Tour when they see Rafa on clay 馃槀

His record at RG is one of the more absolutely ridiculous sports stats…ever. It鈥檚 wild how good he is on clay.

The video by itself was great, but Andy that was the perfect comment. Made me darn near spit my drink out. 馃槀

Nadal looking at another Roland Garros title?
The next Grand Slam is the French Open and it will be interesting to see how Nadal does in that one.
The Spaniard is in great form and shape and should be one of the favourites to win the title.
Djokovic and Roger Federer will be his main rivals for the French Open, and Nadal has to be at his best to secure his 20th Grand Slam.
