Haas were the first F1 team to share their 2020 livery ahead of the new season

American team Haas had a tough 2019 F1 season but are looking at the brighter side with a new livery ahead of 2020.

Haas were the first F1 team to share their livery for the new season while the car can be seen in person ahead of the tests in Barcelona.

The 2020 F1 season tests will be split into two sets of three days each. These six days are the only chances for teams to learn about their rivals and their own machines ahead of the Australian Grand Prix in March.

Haas were targetting another top-five finish last season but ended up a poor ninth. The car was erratic with the team having just seven points finishes between Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen.

There was also this fight with their former sponsors Rich Energy, something that seems to be a thing of the past now.

Haas shared 3D renders of their 2020 livery which saw the team return to their roots. They went with an all-white and red livery and not the black and gold, which was Rich Energy’s colours, from the previous season.

The new colours are also similar to the ones used by Gene Haas’ business, Haas Automation.

Fans get behind Haas’ new colours

Haas were a breath of fresh air as they did extremely well in a couple of seasons, and got a fifth place in the constructor standings in 2018.

However, things went downhill ion 2019 as they could only defeat the poor Williams outfit in the table.

Things will be interesting to see in Barcelona as the true pace of the teams will be known. Of course, some teams will try to hide their pace but Haas need to put up a good show from early on.

Many fans were excited at the new livery of the team, and here are some of their reactions from Twitter:
