UFC analyst Michael Chiesa has boldly tweeted about Umar Nurmagomedov being a more skillful fighter than his cousin, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is widely regarded as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, MMA fighters to have ever graced the UFC. The Dagestani fighter finished his career with a 29-0 record and held the UFC Lightweight title during his time of retirement.

The ‘Eagle’ mounted his success in the UFC based on his undeniable skill and grappling, along with his strength. While many believe that Khabib is one of the most competent fighters to have entered the Octagon, UFC analyst Michael Chiesa believes that his cousin Umar Nurmagomedov is a more skillful fighter than the former lightweight king.

Chiesa took to Twitter to claim the same. However, he did suggest that his take may provoke a few others on his social media timeline.

Many claim that Umar is among the top rising talents in the UFC, but he still has a long way to go before proving himself as a more skillful fighter than Khabib.

What is Umar Nurmagomedov’s MMA record?

Umar Nurmagomedov moved to 16-0 in his MMA career this past weekend when he TKO’d Raoni Barcelos in the first round of their fight. The Bantamweight star is quickly becoming a force to reckon with in the business. He suffered minimal damage in his bout against Barcelos and is now already eyeing another fight in the Octagon.

In his latest tweet, Umar suggested that he is prepared to fight on March 4.

Although he still has plenty to prove in the UFC, Umar is quickly rising through the ranks. He is still undefeated in his pro-MMA career and shows that he is destined for the top.
