Conor McGregor who is down with an ankle injury revealed when he would return to the Octagon
Conor McGregor suffered a brutal ankle break in the main event of UFC 264. The Irishman took on Dustin Poirier in a trilogy fight, with revenge on his mind, but unfortunately suffered a leg break at the very end of the first round.
Upon checking him, the officials deemed him unfit to continue, and the referee waved off the fight, awarding it to Poirier via. TKO due to a doctor stoppage.
The Irishman went live on Twitter answering several fan questions. One fan asked when he would be returning to the Octagon.
McGregor replied that he would be back by 2022:
“2022. I’m improving rapidly! Working with the best team money can buy! I’ll be back in no time, lock loaded!”
It is worth noting that, McGregor was slapped with a 6-month medical suspension that would see him out until the second week of January 2022.

Conor McGregor has two sons and one daughter. He was asked by a fan on Twitter if his sons would follow in his footsteps.
While McGregor stated that, that would be his son’s wish, he did believe that his son would take up MMA.
McGregor tweeted:
“That kid of mine is going to do whatever he wants in this world. I will support him all the way tho whatever he chooses! I feel he will do it tho. I feel his younger brother Rían will also. Interesting times ahead. I will be happy just as long as they are happy.”
