UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez 2 features a huge rematch and here is more about the fight card, location, live stream and where to watch
The UFC continues bringing events from outside the United States with two already having taken place in the past seven days.
UFC 251 and UFC on ESPN: Kattar vs Ige were grand successes, and the UFC brings up Fight Night: Figueiredo vs Benavidez 2 on 19 July 2020.
This features a rematch between Deiveson Figueiredo and Joseph Benavidez for the vacant UFC Flyweight title. The pair met in December 2019 for the title after Henry Cejudo vacated it.
Figueiredo won that clash against Benavidez but couldn’t get the crown because he missed weight. There has been more drama regarding the clash again this time with Figueiredo testing positive for Covid-19.
However, he passed a recent test and travelled to the location of the fight, but will have to take the test again before he is allowed into the Octagon.
Date and location
Fight Island is the home for UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez 2, as it has been for the last two events.
The Flash Forum will host the fights and things have gone pretty well for the UFC in Abu Dhabi. While the event takes place on 19 July morning in the UAE, the fight will be on 18 July night in the United States.
The prelim card is expected to start at 5PM ET time while the main card should start at around 8PM, however, it is best to check local outlets for proper times.
UFC Fight Night: Live stream and where to watch
ESPN and ESPN+ will be the home for UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez 2, as with most of the UFC fights in America.
UK viewers can watch the fight by streaming on BT Sport and the app. While fans in the Indian subcontinent can watch it on Sony/Ten while the fight can be streamed on the Sony Liv app.
It is advisable to check local listings depending on your area while some websites provide streams just prior to the fight and can be checked out here.
