The UFC is all set to return to action in the United Kingdom for the first time since the pandemic. The last event was concluded in March of 2019, headlined by Jorge Masvidal and Darren Till. The UK has always delivered fantastic cards- owing to their rowdy fight fans, exciting fighters who come to throw and packed-out arenas that sing for their hometown fighters all night long.

The main event features a heavyweight fight between Alexander Volkov and Tom Aspinall. The Russian Volkov, a veteran of the sport has had a staggering 43 fights in MMA, and 11 fights inside the UFC octagon. The former M-1 and Bellator heavyweight champion has a record of 34-9, with notable wins against Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum. His last fight was at UFC 267 against Marcin Tybura, which he won by unanimous decision.

Tom Aspinall, a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, has a record of 11-2 in the sport. He made his debut in July 2020 against Jake Collier and won the fight by TKO. He has since then been on a four-fight win streak inside the UFC octagon, and last competed in September 2021. Currently ranked 11 in the organization, he will be looking forward to putting on a great performance against Volkov and breaking into the top-10 of the division.

The co-main event will mark the featherweight return of Dan Hooker against Arnold Allen. Hooker has been on a losing slant in the lightweight division and will be looking forward to revitalizing his career with a switch in weight class.

The card also features a lightweight bout between Paddy Pimblett and Kazula Vargas. Pimblett has taken the UFC world by storm ever since he made his debut. He has the ‘it’ factor when it comes to fighting and talking. If rumors are to be believed, Pimbell might call out Dan Hooker if they both win their bouts.
