UFC Women’s Strawweight champion Zhang Weili sounded confident ahead of her clash against Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 248.
The Chinese has been excellent in her MMA career with 20 straight wins. The one loss she had was in her first fight, and she won the Strawweight title against Jessica Andrade.
Jedrzejczyk has been trying her best by playing some mind-games, something she did at the face-off too.
However, the champion wasn’t worried and with the help of her translator answered some questions to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani.
She was asked about the games by Jedrzejczyk but the champion claimed she had dreamt of winning against the Pole.
“I am mentally strong. She is trying to bother me with her trash talk but she ain’t gonna make it.”
“Looks like I have already seen how she got knocked out by me.”
Zhang was in great spirits during the short interview and also claimed that her opponent has a big face, something that she can target:
“She has a real long face, which is a big target for me.”
Jedrzejczyk has also been doing a lot of talking prior to the fight, and she tried to play some mind-games with the Pole.
Jedrzejczyk has also won the Strawweight title in the past but it will be a real test for her against Zhang.
Her mind-games didn’t seem to work as Zhang laughed it off. The Chinese star also claimed that Jedrzejczyk’s moves were funny, and she was confident of winning the clash.
Zhang also revealed that this was going to be a simpler fight when compared to Andrade’s.
