Adrian Yanez sounded confident of getting a knockout win in his UFC debut
Adrian Yanez takes on Victor Rodriguez ahead of his UFC debut at the weekend. The 26-year-old Yanez is on a four-fight streak and has sounded confident ahead of his clash at Las Vegas.
The American put on quite a performance at the Contender Series where he defeated Brady Huang. That fight was about two months back and now he faces his toughest test inside the UFC Octagon.
The 26-year-old believed he would perform well at the event and promised a knockout as well:
“This Saturday I make my @ufc debut!!! I’m ready to showcase my skills and get that KO”
The clash of two debutants
While Yanez believes he can get a KO win over his opponent, this will also be Rodriguez’s debut in the UFC.
The 28-year-old currently has a 7-2 MMA record and has also won his last four fights. Rodriguez is a former Bantamweight champion for Alaska FC, and that as his last fight before he got his UFC calling.
Rodriguez also carries the Vicious nickname and has KO’d all of his opponents so far in his wins.
The Vicious name certainly suits him and it will be interesting to see how this fight goes. Yanez might be younger than Rodriguez but he has more experience when it comes to MMA fights.
The 26-year-old has fought 14 professional fights in his MMA career and has a record of 11 wins and three losses.
Yanez also has six KOs from his 11 wins but he also has a couple of submission results too. The two UFC debutants could put on a show at the latest Fight Night event, and it will be interesting to see who gets the win.
