Alan Belcher wins his pro boxing debut fight with an emphatic second round finish
Former UFC middleweight fighter Alan Belcher recently made his pro boxing debut. He last fought in UFC back in 2013, and a lot has changed since then, notably his physique. Belcher has bulked up and moved up to heavyweight for his boxing debut.
Belcher made his boxing debut for top Mississippi regional promotion Summit FC, and went up against Ryan Shough. The fight took place on 6th November and Belcher earned a statement victory by beating Shough in the second round.

The former UFC star was dominant throughout the fight, he dropped Shough three times in the second round to earn an emphatic KO victory. Belcher looked really explosive in his fight. It will be interesting to see how pro-boxing favors the former UFC star in the future. However, it is worth noting that he is 37 now and does not have age by his side at this point.
When did Alan Belcher retire from MMA?
Belcher officially retired from MMA in 2015 after spending the past two years without a fight. Belcher’s debut in UFC came in 2006 at the UFC 62. He stayed with the UFC from 2006 to 2013 and had 15 fights in the promotion and he ended up losing 6 out of the 15 fights.
Belcher’s last fight came in 2013 when he fought Michael Bisping, the fight had to be ended because of an accidental eye poke. In 2021, Belcher came out of retirement to fight in the Bare Knuckle Championship and won his debut via a unanimous decision against Tony Lopez.
