Alex Caceres produced a stunning performance against Seungwoon Choi at UFC Vegas 41

The chips were down, and yet Alex Caceres delivered. The 33-year old American was met with a blinder of a right hand from Seungwoo Choi in the first round, and almost succumbed to the strike.

Caceres also had a minute stroke of luck when Choi was deducted a point following his illegal knee.

The American then went on to weather the storm that followed and somehow saw off the round. Despite Choi winning the round, a point deduction meant that it was a 9-9 round.

Caceres came out strong in the second round. Three minutes into the second round, when Choi was hunting for a finish, Caceres got Choi’s neck, tightened the grip on it, and made the South Korean tap.

Alex Caceres is now on a five-fight winning streak

With that victory over Seungwoo Choi, Alex Caceres made it five victories in a row. It all started with a victory over Steven Peterson at UFC on ESPN: dos Anjos vs Edwards back in July 2019.

Prior to that Caceres was struggling, with a record of 14 wins and 12 losses.

Caceres then beat Chase Hooper at UFC 250 before going on to beat Austin Springer and Kevin Croom at UFC 250 and UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs Gane.

This comeback win over Choi would have done Alex Caceres’ confidence, a world of good. He will be looking forward to maintaining his excellent form.
