Gustafsson had contested for the lightweight gold thrice and returned in 2020 shortly after announcing retirement in 2019. Ben Rothwell, who also lost his last fight will look to test Alexander in what has the potential to be an absolute barn-burner.

Alexander Gustafsson considers UFC’s Hall of Fame induction of his UFC 165 fight against Jon Jones as a ‘huge honour.’
The UFC 165 main event between Alexander Gustafsson and Jon Jones is widely regarded as one of the greatest fights inside the octagon. The UFC cemented it by inducting it into the Hall of Fame in September 2021.
Gustafsson said, “I was pretty tired and I remember my disappointment when my hand wasn’t raised. At the same time, I felt a lot of pride in my performance.”
