“I think he gets the finish” – Alexander Volkanovski shares his prediction for Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3

With the trilogy bout between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier coming up, a lot of fighters have begun giving their prediction

All eyes will be on Conor McGregor when he takes on Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 264, next month.

It is, ‘make or break’ for the Irishman. Having been knocked out for the first time in his MMA career, in his last outing against Poirier, McGregor will be looking forward to settling the scores with ‘The Diamond’.

The winner of the fight is expected to face newly-crowned lightweight champion Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title.

With only two weeks left for the fight, UFC Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski weighed-in on the trilogy bout.

In an interview with Submission Radio, Volkanovski gave his prediction for the fight, picking ‘The Irishman’ to emerge victorious, this time around.

“It is a tough one, after seeing what happened last fight. But, I still feel like Conor is more dangerous. I feel like he is gonna be dangerous early again. And, I think he will be able to control…I do believe he is going to get his hands on Poirier, I feel like Conor is going to get it. I think he gets a finish.”

Number 6 ranked UFC light-heavyweight Anthony ‘Lionheart’ Smith shared his prediction for Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3.

In a recent interview with James Lynch, Smith said he was picking Poirier, despite the fact that he is a big McGregor fan.

“[I’m a] Big Conor guy! Love what he’s done for the sport, but Dustin Poirier has just got his number.”
