Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington will face off in a rematch on the 6th of November, 2021 at UFC 268
Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington will run back their two-year old rivalry at the Madison Square Garden on the 6th of November, 2021.
The pair will headline the stacked UFC 268 card, after having produced one of the greatest modern-day title fights at UFC 245.
Since UFC 245, Usman has defended his title thrice, twice against Jorge Masvidal and once against Gilbert Burns.
Covington has just fought once since then. He beat Tyron Woodley in 2020. That win cemented his position as the number one ranked welterweight contender.
With the fight only a week away, Usman’s manager and Dominance MMA CEO Ali Abdelaziz, fired a warning to ‘Chaos’.
Taking to Twitter, Abdelaziz wrote:
“The greatest of all the time He only fear God the real king of combat sport @USMAN84kg.”
Usman is coming off a knockout win over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261, which also exemplified his skill as a striker. He became the first man to knock Masvidal out in the UFC.
Ali Abdelaziz followed it up with another Tweet claiming that the night would be terrifying for him.
He wrote:
“@ColbyCovMMA I hope you’re ready for a fight week it will be terrifying for you.”
The welterweight division is one of the, if not the most, happening division in the UFC right now.
