Kamaru Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz blasts boxing P4P king Canelo Alavarez for not wanting to fight his client
The outlandish Ali Abdelaziz is one of the most polarizing figures in MMA today. Although people might dislike him, its no doubt that he’s always worked tirelessly towards providing his fighters with the best deals and fights.
During an interview with The Schmo, Ali lambasted Saul Canelo Alvarez, amid rumors of a superfight between Kamaru Usman and the boxing superstar. He said,
“You know, Kamaru didn’t call out Jake Paul or Logan Paul – none of these guys. You have to respect the man, he called out this coward [Canelo Alvarez]. And honestly, all these boxing guys are a little bit [cowardly] because they will not come to MMA, they will not fight in the streets, they only want to fight in the boxing ring – under their rules. And guess what? If they’re not willing to come to our sport – the UFC and MMA in general – you shouldn’t call yourself a fighter. You’re a sportsman. Canelo, if you want the smoke, Kamaru give him the smoke.”
A while earlier, the CEO of Dominance MMA Management said that Usman will knock out Canelo inside three rounds, should they clash in the future.
Kamaru Usman has some elaborate plans for 2022, after he comes back from his latest hand surgery. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has identified a prospective fight outside the UFC roaster in boxing P4P king, Canelo Alvarez.
Kamaru Usman was last seen inside the octagon at UFC 268, scoring a second victory against Colby Covington. Speaking to TMZ sports, Usman said that he’s aiming at a July rematch against top-ranked Leon Edwards, and a September boxing super fight against Canelo Alvarez.
“In 2022 I’m gonna shock the world. July, International Fight Week, I’m gonna fight Leon Edwards. God willing I get through Leon Edwards, September, Mexican Independence Day, I will stop Canelo Alvarez.”
Usman continued, “Absolutely I see myself winning the fight. Everything can’t be done until it’s done.”
