In the wake of 2021 AFCON semi-finals between Egypt and Cameroon, Dominance MMA CEO Ali Abdelaziz laid out a challenge to UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou
The 2021 AFCON is reaching its business end. Just four matches remain – Semi-finals, Third-place playoff and the finals.
Burkina Faso who beat Tunisia (1-0) in the semi-final will take on Senegal in the first semi-final. The second semi-final will see Egypt taking on Cameroon.
With the match scheduled on the 3rd of February, Dominance MMA CEO Ali Abdelaziz laid out a challenge to UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou.
Taking to Twitter, Abdelaziz wrote:
“Hey @francis_ngannou Egypt is playing with Cameroon next, please let me know how much money you wanna lose to me?”
It is worth noting that Abdelaziz is of Egyptian descent and Ngannou, Cameroonian descent. Egypt will be looking forward to making it into the final with the help of arguably the best African player right now – Mohamed Salah. Cameroon, meanwhile will be hoping that their frontman Vincent Aboubakar delivers.
Bellator 273 recently concluded. It was headlined by a heavyweight title fight between Ryan Bader and Valentin Moldavsky.
The co-main event saw old-timer Benson Henderson beat Islam Mamedov via. a narrow split decision. Abdelaziz apparently wasn’t pleased with the judging during the Henderson-Mamedov fight. Although he didn’t exactly mention which fight he was talking about, it did seem pretty evident.
Taking to Twitter to express his displeasure, he wrote:
“Great night of fights at @BellatorMMA but some of these judges need to be investigated, but this is the fight game.”
