“Let’s go champ” – Ali Abdelaziz wants Tony Ferguson to fight this rising star next

Ali Abdelaziz has a worthy opponent in mind for the next fight of Tony Ferguson

Ferguson is at the crossroads right now after failing to win in his last 3 fights.

His recent defeat against Beneil Dariush in the co-main event of UFC 262, put a huge question mark over his future.

But it looks like ‘El Cucuy’ isn’t backing down, as he took to Twitter to state that he wasn’t going anywhere, and surprisingly he also claimed that he was just getting started.

He wrote:

“It Ain’t Over Yet Mcgavin’, The Way I See It … We’ve Only Just Begun.” -Happy Gilmore. Retire & Give These MF’s A Break!? No, Not On My Watch. Now I’m Pissed. CSO-Thank you Hardcore For Picking Me Up When I Was Down- Champ #FindingMyHappyPlace #GoldJacket.”

Elsewhere, Dominance MMA CEO Ali Abdelaziz has thrown his client’s name into the fray, saying that his client would be ready to face ‘El Cucuy’. It was none other than number 10 ranked lightweight Islam Makhachev, who has been on a splendid 7-fight win streak.

It is good to see Abdelaziz having some high regard for Ferguson. Despite ‘El Cucuy’ being down and out, he has offered to throw in Makhachev’s name, who has been in red-hot form.

Islam Makhachev faces Thiago Moises next

Islam Makhachev has been scheduled to fight Thiago Moises of Brazil on the 17th of July. Unfortunately for Makhachev, he wasn’t booked against a ranked opponent (top 15), as Moises is not ranked in the lightweight top 15.

However, the 26-year old Brazilian, has stitched up three consecutive victories and has looked threatening. Plus, he has never been finished in his professional MMA career, something which Makhachev should be wary of.

Makhachev has vowed to put on a show against Moises, and continue his unbeaten run that has been lasting more than 5 years.
