Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal is for the UFC Welterweight title at UFC 251
MMA manager and agent Ali Abdelaziz backed one star to dominate the Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal clash.
The two Welterweights finally meet in the Octagon after a long rivalry. Usman is the current UFC Welterweight champion and will defend his title against Masvidal at UFC 251.
Usman was to face Gilbert Burns initially. However, the Brazilian tested positive for the coronavirus and Masvidal accepted the fight with less than a week to go.
Gamebred worked hard to cut weight too, and it was confirmed last night after the UFC weigh-ins. Masvidal is one of the toughest men in the UFC and while he has a good chance of knocking out Usman, Abdelaziz had a different prediction.
The Egyptian is the manager of Usman and backed the Nigerian Nightmare to dominate Masvidal:
“I’m really excited about tomorrow to see my brother @USMAN84kg dominate like he always does – doesn’t matter what he or she said, the talk is over.”

Masvidal putting it all on the line
Abdelaziz backing his client was expected as the Egyptian manages some of the best in the world. He is also the manager of Justin Gaethje and Khabib Nurmagomedov, the UFC Lightweight interim champion and champion respectively.
However, the MMA manager’s prediction could be true. Masvidal might have been in decent shape ahead of the fight but accepting it on short-notice could be a huge factor in this clash.
Usman had been training to fight Burns and changing his target to Masvidal would have affected his game plan. Masvidal, for his part, needs to do a lot more as he might not have expected to fight this month too.
However, if anyone can put up a surprise in a fight, it has to be Masvidal. Gamebred has spent his entire adult life fighting and this is his chance to pick up his first UFC division title.
