The Dominance MMA CEO wants a showdown between Amanda Nunes, Kayla Harrison and two other notable fighters
Kayla Harrison earned her 9th successive win in her professional MMA career.
Having made her MMA debut only in 2018, the American has quickly risen through the ranks using her superior Judo skills.
She is a gold medalist at 2012 and 2016 Olympics in Judo (78kg category).
And, yesterday Harrison took on Mariana Morais at PFL 3 (2021). She needed just more than a minute to finish off the Brazilian, after a flurry of punches in a full mount position, inflicted heavy damage on Morais, as the referee waved off the fight.
Dominance MMA CEO, Ali Abdelaziz was impressed with Harrison’s performance, and he tweeted saying he wanted to set up a tournament featuring Harrison, Amanda Nunes, Cris Cyborg and Claressa Shields.
Amanda Nunes is still ruling the roost in Women’s MMA, barring her only KO loss to Nunes, Cyborg is still one of the best, and Claressa Shields has been unstoppable in her professional boxing career with 11 wins and no losses.
Abdelaziz tweeted:
“Let’s do women tournament @KaylaH Amanda Nunez cyborg and the boxer chick.”
Abdelaziz referring to Claressa Shields as ‘the boxer chick’ didn’t sit well with a lot of fans.
Ali Abdelaziz makes a bold claim that he would quit MMA if Kayla Harrison loses
Ali Abdelaziz has made a bold claim that he would quit MMA, if Kayla Harrison loses a fight in professional mixed martial arts.
Harrison has not any trouble so far in the PFL. But the going will get tough if she makes a transition to the UFC.
Abdelaziz tweeted:
“If she ever lose I will leave Mma she cannot be touched.”
It is too early to call. But, Harrison definitely looks like a force to be reckoned with.
