Anderson Silva seemed to soak in the atmosphere of the UFC Octagon for a possible final time after his loss to Uriah Hall
Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva wasn’t able to get the win over Uriah Hall in his latest fight at Fight Night.
The 45-year-old had been on a bit of a slide in recent years and many believe this was his final fight in the UFC.
Silva seems open to fighting more but Dana White, after this clash, wanted the Spider’s family to talk him into retirement.
It is to be seen what happens next but Silva spent some time in the Octagon soaking up the atmosphere.
RJ Clifford shared a picture from after the fight where Silva was seen sitting in the middle of the Octagon. The former UFC Middleweight Champion knelt in the Octagon for a few minutes before he was given a standing ovation from the rest of the crew:
While White was adamant that he did not want Silva to fight again, it is to be seen what is next for him.
Silva is a legend in MMA and even Hall seemed upset at defeating someone who made the UFC great.
Israel Adesanya, the current Middleweight champion, was also present in the arena as he watched one of the greats in action.
Silva is 45 and could do a job in some other promotion but he would not be the top dog. The Brazilian’s powers have waned and it would be best for him to ride out in the sunset.
Poor outings are hurting his legacy, even though he will remain a legend in the MMA game. The Spider has earned the respect of all around, and it is a little distressing seeing him get beat up time and again.
