Angela Hill seems keen on forming an all-female UFC announce team featuring some top names such as Karyn Bryant, Megan Olivi and Laura Sanko
Angela ‘Overkill’ Hill seems keen on forming an all-female UFC announce team and wants some top names included in.
Hill has worked behind the analyst’s desk in some UFC events, but she wants more women to form a team of sorts.
The 35-year-old Hill called out UFC reporters Laura Sanko and Megan Olivi to join her. She also wanted MMA H.E.A.T podcaster Karyn Bryant to team up with the trio. Bryant also hosts several UFC shows while Olivi has featured in some of the biggest interviews the UFC has had.
The quartet certainly have a lot of experience in the sport with Hill and Sanko having fought in MMA.
The UFC has seen many fighters move into the commentator’s role and it will be interesting to see Hill’s plans are put into action.
Hill created history by becoming the first African-American woman to headline a UFC event in September 2020.
She faced Michelle Waterson in a five-round main event but lost that clash via split decision. This was the second such fight she had lost in a row with a split decision robbing her of a win over Claudia Gadelha in an earlier fight.
Hill was left upset with the decision and several fans also backed her claims that the scoring wasn’t right.
The 35-year-old has an MMA record of 12 wins and nine losses. However, some of those losses were extremely close affairs.
Hill is a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion but is yet to lift gold in the UFC. She is one of the funniest personalities in the UFC thanks to her social media accounts, and it will be interesting to see what is next for her.
