KO artist Anthony Johnson earned as stunning second round victory over Jose Augusto

Rumble‘ would have been wondering after being rocked in the first round, if he had made a mistake coming back to MMA, after having not fought in four years.

In the first round, Augusto landed a barrage of punches, rocking ‘Rumble’ significantly. In fact, he was almost knocked down. But ‘Rumble’ somehow weathered the storm, coming out unscathed in the first round.

And, just 90 seconds into the second round, Johnson landed a massive right hand putting Augusto to sleep.

Johnson was a relieved man, but was critical of his own performance at the post-fight interview.

Now that’s a one-punch knockout artist there! Rumble has announced his arrival in the Bellator!

Johnson was supposed to face Yoel Romero, another UFC veteran, but he pulled out due to failing a medical screening. He was replaced by Jose Augusto, on short notice.

Anthony Johnson moves into the semi-finals

With the win over Jose Augusto, Anthony Johnson has advance to the semi-finals of the Bellator Light-Heavyweight World Grand Prix.

He will now be facing the Bellator light-heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov, who is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Phil Davis in the quarter-finals.

Quite an uphill task for ‘Rumble’ since Nemkov has never been defeated since joining the Bellator in 2017.

The other semi-final features another UFC star Corey Anderson taking on Ryan Bader.
