Paul Craig picked up another submission win, this time over Gadzhimurad Antigulov

Paul ‘Bearjew’ Craig picked up another impressive submission win over Gadzhimurad Antigulov at UFC Fight Island.

The 32-year-old got the better of his opponent via a triangle choke, and that was the talking point for many.

The Scot has won several fights via submission and it seems the triangle choke is his favourite. Craig now has six wins in his MMA career via the same submission move.

He has also used the kimura, arm-bar and the rear-naked chokes too during his MMA career but the triangle choke seems to be his go to move.

MMA journalist, Ariel Helwani, also chimed in regarding this specific move. He decided to compare Craig’s submission to those of the top professional wrestlers.

Bret Hart and Ric Flair are two of the greatest to have ever gotten into the ring. Their wrestling days might be over but they are legends in the wrestling world.

Chris Jericho might not be fighting for top titles in AEW, but he still is one of the best performers in the world.

Getting out of their finishers wasn’t easy and it seems to be the same for Craig too.

Continuing an undefeated streak

Craig is now unbeaten in his last three clashes with two wins and a draw. The Scot also moves up to 13 wins and four losses in his MMA career.

Craig can be called a submission specialist as he has amassed an incredible 12 wins from his 13 via submissions.

He only has one knockout win in his career but that doesn’t seem to be hurting his game at all. The 32-year-old has never won a UFC title during his time with the promotion.

However, he still has some of the best submission wins in the promotion and his highlight reel does look impressive.
