UFC 249 features a loaded fight card with two title clashes
Ariel Helwani provided a minute-by-minute update regarding the weigh-ins for UFC 249.
This would be the first UFC event in over a month due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the promotion is doing all it came to keep everyone safe.
There were concerns about how the weigh-in would take place, especially with so many fights on the 249 card.
However, Helwani tweeted that fighters could come in whenever they wanted and not in shifts.
I was originally told the fighters were going to have come weigh in in shifts but now told they can come down whenever they want.

There were more measures taken by the UFC though as Helwani highlighted that someone was cleaning the scales after almost every weigh-in.

The UFC cannot take any chances with their fighters at 249. Dana White has been consistent in saying that the safety of all is important, and Dominick spoke about that recently as well.
Testing daily
The challenger for the UFC Bantamweight Championship faces off against Henry Cejudo at the event.
Both made the weigh-in and the fight is a go. Cruz explained all that was being done to keep the fighters safe.
Cruz said that everyone was being tested daily. He also went on to say that everyone is getting separate saunas to help with the weight cut, and also separate rooms too.
The US has been one of the hardest-hit countries regarding the coronavirus. Most top sports leagues have suspended their operations and the UFC has had to deal with that too.
Khabib Nurmagomedov was to fight against Tony Ferguson and defend his Lightweight title.
However, he got stuck in Russia so we will have an interim lightweight title fight between Ferguson and Justin Gaethje as the main event.
