The UFC have multiple locations in mind for Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic 3

UFC journalist Ariel Helwani shared that three locations are in the mix to host Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic 3.

The Heavyweight title fight takes place at UFC 252, but the UFC is yet to confirm the location. Recent UFC events have taken place at the Apex due to the coronavirus.

No fans are allowed in the arenas and even the number of staff inside is restricted. However, Miocic vs Cormier could be one of the biggest fights in UFC history and Helwani shared the three locations running to be the host:

“I heard that three locations are being discussed here. Nevada, California and Arizona.”

Cormier added that Arizona seemed wide open, however, Helwani claimed that the coronavirus numbers were spiking up “big time” in the region.

“I heard that those were the three locations and if it’s still closed to the public then it will be in Nevada but if they can do it with the gate and the fans are allowed, then they can do it in one of those states.”

Cormier then joked that he wasn’t keen on fighting in California and could lose there too.

UFC 252 will take place on 15 August. That gives the UFC a couple of months to hopefully sell tickets.

All of this depends on the condition of the coronavirus, and it will be interesting to see the condition of the regions before the location is finalised.

Helwani claiming that Arizona’s numbers rising are a problem, but the UFC needs to sell tickets for this fight.

This is expected to be the final outing for Cormier. DC could retire with the belt in his hands again. Miocic beat Cormier to pick up the title in his last fight, and this is going to be a fitting end to their rivalry.

Cormier and Miocic have one win each. However, this bout at UFC 252 will decide who was the better man in this rivalry.
