Arman Tsarukyan earned an easy first-round knockout win over Christos Giagos before going on to call out Dan Hooker
Arman Tsarukyan demolished Christos Giagos in the very first round of their lightweight contest in the main card of UFC Fight Night 192.
The Russian was looking very strong from the word go, and as expected, he came up trumps.
A perfect left hook from Tsarukyan knocked Giagos down. He got the job done by following it up with a barrage of strikes. In just over two minutes the fight was over.
The win earned him his fourth straight win in the UFC. He has now 4 wins and 1 loss in the UFC – loss coming against Islam Makhachev on debut.
The number 14 ranked lightweight then went on to call out fellow lightweight Dan Hooker, who is currently ranked number 8 in the lightweight rankings.
However, a match between the two must wait for a while, as Hooker has an important assignment coming up.
Only a year ago, Dan Hooker gave Dustin Poirier a run for his money. However, he still ended up losing the fight – via. unanimous decision.
He then faced UFC debutant Michael Chandler at UFC 257, and suffered a first round knockout defeat.
Hooker will now be looking forward to getting back to winning ways. Before a match against Tsarukyan plays out, he has a showdown against Nasrat Haqparast coming up on the 25th of September,
