Arsenal FC left-back is a massive fan of fellow Irishman Conor McGregor
Arsenal FC need a lot of work to do ahead of the 2021-22 EPL Season. The North-London based football club finished 8th last season and missed out on European spots.
With a beyond-crucial transfer window coming up, Arteta will be looking forward to handpicking a talisman who could probably change the fortunes of the club.
And, with the new season just a month away, Arsenal and Scotland left-back Kieran Tierney took time off to answer a truckload of fan questions in a Twitter Q&A session.
He was asked, at what position his mate and UFC icon Conor McGregor could possibly play for Arsenal.
Tierney answered that the ‘Notorious’ would do very well as a centre-back and instil fear in the minds of the opponents. The Scot claimed that McGregor had a penchant for goal-scoring, as well.
“Centre half. No nonsense. Put the fear in everyone. Seen him upfront as well, great goal scorer. Can do it all.”
McGregor and Tierney have been mates for quite a long time. McGregor has very often spoken about the admiration he had for the hard-working Scot.
The pair first met at an event in Belfast, Ireland. Tierney claims to be the biggest Conor McGregor fanboy.
McGregor was once spotted wearing a Tierney, Celtic Jersey to a training session. Speaking about it Tierney exclaimed (back then) that he couldn’t sleep that whole night and was buzzing.
