MMA fans brutally troll Dana White for slapping his wife on New Year’s Eve with Power Slap League remarks
Dana White, president of the UFC, has admitted to slapping his wife on New Year’s Eve. After a video of White slapping his wife leaked online, White admitted it to TMZ. The TMZ video shows White and his wife on the VIP terrace of a nightclub. The video depicts Anne White with her head in her hands, just before she slaps White across the face. In retaliation, White slaps Anne twice across the face.
Interestingly, this footage comes in just days before the premiere of Dana White’s new venture, the Power Slap League.
White had announced that his Power Slap League would have an eight episode season, premiering in January on TBS. According to the website, Power Slap is the world’s premier slap fighting organization, licensed and sanctioned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Led by Dana White, Power Slap features competitors from across the globe battling on the ultimate stage to showcase their power, technique and resolve.
Viewers can tune in to “Power Slap: Road To The Title” on TBS (cable/satellite), TBS.com, TBS Mobile App, TBS on Hulu, YouTube TV, Sling TV and as part of TV Everywhere apps.
Several fans saw the incident of White slapping his wife this as an opportunity to mock the UFC bossman. One user wrote:
“Awful attempt at viral marketing for the Power Slap League by @danawhite”
Another fan wrote: “Dana white slapping his wife has marketed Power Slap better than the actual marketing”
One fan claimed that the video was a trailer for Power Slap League:

Anne White, the wife of UFC president Dana White, stated that her husband’s violent actions captured on video were not characteristic of him, despite the video portraying White in a negative light.
She issued a statement on TMZ after her husband’s initial statement:
“Dana and I have been married for almost 30 years. To say this is out of character for him is an understatement. Nothing like this has ever happened before. Unfortunately, we were both drinking too much on New Year’s Eve and things got out of control, on both sides. We’ve talked this through as a family and apologized to each other. I just hope people will respect our privacy for the sake of our kids.”
