Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns share incredible prediction for Light Heavyweight clash between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Jon Jones

A couple of UFC stars made their predictions for Jon Jones vs Khabib Nurmagomedov

Jon Jones has been upset ever since the UFC moved Khabib Nurmagomedov to the #1 spot in the pound-for-pound rankings.

This all came into being after Khabib defeated Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 and then shocked the world by retiring.

The Russian ended his Lightweight reign at 29-0 and also only lost two rounds in his MMA career. Gaethje was dispatched off via an incredible triangle choke.

Khabib then claimed he was done with MMA and put his gloves down on the Octagon after he made a promise to his mother.

Many have claimed that Khabib will go down as the greatest of all-time (GOAT), however, Jones doesn’t see it that way.

The American recently hit out at those claims by adding that he had 11 title defences during his time as the Light Heavyweight champion.

Khabib vs Jones

While we never got to see Khabib take on Jones and it is unlikely we will ever see them face off in the Octagon.

It isn’t just because Khabib has retired but the fact that there is a huge weight difference in the classes they have fought in.

Jones is currently in the Heavyweight division as he seeks gold after relinquishing his Light Heavyweight title.

However, a couple of UFC stars have shared their prediction for Jones vs Khabib. Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns seem to be on Khabib’s side and claimed that the Russian moving up to 205lbs would see him defeat Jones.

This is a big statement to make regarding the two UFC greats. Khabib and Jones should be in the conversation about who is going to be the GOAT, but this is a tough debate and there is no simple answer to all this.
