Belal Muhammad once again sent a warning to welterweight big names Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev
Belal Muhammad is determined to become the next big thing in the UFC’s welterweight division.
He has not lost a fight since January 2019 – 6 fight unbeaten run. With wins over big names like Demian Maia and Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson in 2021, Muhammad has broken into the top 5 of the welterweight rankings.
A win or two from here will certainly get him the title shot. And likely so, Muhammad has his sights set on two big names – Number 1 ranked Colby Covington and the surging Khamzat Chimaev.
Taking to Twitter, Muhammad posted an edited image of the heads of Chimaev and Covington hung on the walls, with Muhammad posing as the hunter.
The head-hunting Muhammad has been calling out Chimaev and Covington for quite a while now.
Who will Belal Muhammad face next?
Belal Muhammad has more or less conquered the welterweights ranked below number 5.
He has only Vicente Luque, Leon Edwards, Gilbert Burns, Colby Covington and the champ Kamaru Usman ahead of him.
A fight against Edwards in 2021 ended in a no-contest after an accidental eye poke from the Brit. Talks of a rematch never materialized.
A fight against Luque, Burns and in fact, Khamzat Chimaev looks more likely.
