Belal Muhammad confirmed he would fight soon against an undefeated UFC star next
Belal Muhammad set Twitter alight after news of his next UFC fight. The 32-year-old Welterweight star is on a three-fight win streak and is one of the rising stars in the promotion.
Muhammad holds an MMA record of 14 wins and three losses with his last defeat coming at the hands of Geoff Neal.
However, he certainly got the attention of many on social media with his single tweet. UFC stars aren’t allowed to spill the name of who they fight next until the promotion says so, but they can drop hints of who they go up against.
Muhammad added that a fighter’s 0 was going to go and that meant that he would be going up against an undefeated star.
“Contracts signed fights news coming someone’s 0 has got to go”
This statement from Muhammad opened the doors for several fighters. One of the biggest undefeated names in the UFC is Khamzat Chimaev. The Swede is 9-0 in his MMA career and has been spectacular since making his UFC debut.
Khamzat has also spoken about fighting later in the year and suggested it was going to be a main event. However, Muhammad turned things down by suggesting he wouldn’t fight at Welterweight:
Khamzat has spoken of fighting in the Middleweight division in the past and also has called out the champion.
Muhammad could fight either a division up at Middleweight or down, but that could see him fight Israel Adesanya too.
The UFC Middleweight champion is undefeated and is coming off am incredible and dominating win over Paulo Costa.
However, Izzy was in action a couple of weeks back, and it would be insane if he was fighting again before the end of the year.
Muhammad certainly got a lot of people thinking about who he fights next. There aren’t any other details available but many shared their predictions for what could be an incredible battle.
Muhammad also shared a hint that it wasn’t going to be a ranked fighter too.
