Belal Muhammad shares experience after training with UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov

Training with a UFC icon like Khabib Nurmagomedov is a luxury which not many get to experience. But Belal Muhammad was one of the lucky few.

And the American UFC welterweight fighter shared a post on his Instagram which sharing how he felt after a training session with ‘The Eagle’.

‘Remember the Name’ then mentioned a few of his teammates and family members who have helped him achieve what he has in the promotion.

“Huge honor to get advice from the best to ever do it @khabib_nurmagomedov before my fight… my brother @aliabdelaziz000 has done so much for me and gives me and my team opportunity that people dream of love u brother ..and huge shoutout to @abuazaitar @ottmanazaitar for being two of the realest most genuine people I ever met and taking care of us this week it won’t be forgotten the good vibes and energy are high right now .. it’s time to go to work in 4 days”

He was also with The Schmo earlier this week and shared his thoughts on training with Khabib himself.

“And a guy like that, who’s the best in the world, speak highly of me, telling me about my last fight; I’m like ‘you watched my last fight?’ It’s just amazing. It’s like humble and it’s cool to know that legends like that are watching you and they pay attention to you too. Man… to just be able to get ideas and work with him a little bit, it’s like priceless.”

Belal Muhammad is training with Khabib Nurmagomedov for his next fight

The BJJ veteran goes to work in less than a day. He is primed to take on #3 ranked welterweight star, Leon Edwards, at UFC Fight Night 187.

This is arguably his biggest fight in UFC till date. He has a UFC record of 9-3-0 and would be hoping he takes his win tally to double digits.

A win against Edwards would rocket him up the division. But Edwards is no walkover himself.

‘Rocky’ is on an eight-fight winning streak and hasn’t lost since May 2016. Khabib, on the other hand, seems to be satisfied with a role as a mentor and a coach for others.

The Russian has assumed the role of a coach in his team and is now training his brothers, who he says are ‘next in line’.
