A lot of changes in the UFC lightweight rankings after the conclusion of UFC 262
UFC 262 was wild. From Tony Ferguson refusing to tap to a heel hook from Beneil Dariush, to Charles Oliveira switching gears and knocking out Michael Chandler to win the vacant lightweight title, it had it all.
The lightweight division saw some major rankings update, after the conclusion of the event.
Dariush was the biggest winner. His win over Tony Ferguson, saw him jump 6 places from number 9, to break into the top 5 of the lightweight rankings. He sits at number 3 now, and another win might probably put him within touching distance of the lightweight title.
Ferguson’s loss saw him move out of the top 5, making way for Conor McGregor. The Irishman switched places with ‘El Cucuy’ and is back in the top 5.
Despite his loss to Charles Oliveira, who is now the champion, Chandler’s position as the number 4 remains unaffected.
There were a few minor changes in the bottom half of the lightweight top 15, as Thiago Moises who is scheduled to face Islam Makhachev on the 17th of July, broke into the top 15 of the lightweight rankings for the first time.
Drew Dober, Diego Ferreira, Kevin Lee and Gregor Gillespie, all moved up one place.

Later that day, Musk replied to Dariush’s callout apologizing for the delay, assuring that it would be delivered soon.
Musk wrote : “Coming soon. Sorry for the delay!”
