Johnny Depp got a bit of a win over Amber Heard in their public defamation trial
Billy Quarantillo was one of several UFC stars to react to the highly public Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial.
Heard and Depp had taken to the witness stands and a lot of mudslinging had been done from both parties over who is liable for defamation.
In the end, a jury noted that both movie stars were liable for defamation. However, there was a discrepancy in the amount both stars had to pay.
Heard was awarded just $2million while Depp got $15million in total. This is lower than the $50m that Depp had sued Heard for, and the $100m that Heard wanted from her former husband.
Quarantillo was quick to react to the ‘win’ for Depp, and posted his thoughts on social media:
“Dang Johnny Depp didn’t give up a point … dude don’t miss”
One of the most talked-about parts of this trial was the performance of Depp’s lawyers, especially Camille Vasquez.
The lawyer did pose some tough questions to Heard especially the one about the actor not donating $7million, which she had got from Depp, to a couple of outlets.
Vasquez then ripped Heard recently too and brought up how she was faking some of the moments inside the courtroom.
The entire world was fixated on this trial and there was a lot of interest in who would come out on top.
While both stars didn’t come out of this with their reputations intact, it seems that Depp is the one who got the win in the end.
