UFC 255 wasn’t all that great for Brandon Royval as he popped his shoulder and lost to Brandon Moreno

Many had predicted Brandon Royval taking on Brandon Moreno would be the Fight of the Night at UFC 255.

Royval and Moreno were coming off impressive streaks and the fight had all the ingredients to be a quality bout.

However, the battle ended quickly after Royval popped his shoulder and Moreno was able to pick up the win.

Royval’s coach also popped the shoulder back after the fight and the UFC Flyweight seemed to be in pain when the injury took place.

However, Royval seemed to be fine after the setting back of the shoulder and posted how disappointed he was with the loss.

He also opened up on how the injury took place and that he tried to put the shoulder back in place:

Moreno’s rise

While Royval missed out on the chance to pick up a huge, his opponent got an amazing shot at the title.

Dana White confirmed that the Flyweight champion, Deiveson Figueiredo would be taking on Moreno at UFC 256.

The event is just three weeks away and it would be the quickest turnaround time for a champion or a challenger in the UFC.

Figueiredo defeated Alex Perez in impressive fashion in the main event of UFC 255 and the God of War seems certain to be the favourite for his next clash.

Royval could have been the one challenging him but injuries can happen any time in the Octagon. Thankfully, he wasn’t injured serious and should be back in action soon.
