Brendan Allen has been in a war of words with Ian Heinisch and posted an update on his weight-cut
Brendan Allen has been talking the talk ahead of his much-anticipated clash against Ian Heinisch at the weekend.
The 24-year-old is on a seven-fight win streak and has targeted Heinisch in recent weeks. The pair were to meet at UFC: Poirier vs Hooker, however, Heinisch picked up an injury and was replaced by Kyle Daukaus.
Allen and Heinisch are finally set to meet at UFC Fight Night 182 and there was an update from the 26-year-old regarding his weight-cut.
Making weight is one of the biggest hurdles MMA stars have to deal with ahead of fights. However, Allen seems to be ready for the fight and claimed he was going to be below the Middleweight limit tomorrow:
“This weight cut has been an absolute breeze thanks to him. One maybe two bathes tomorrow and i will be on or below weight. So thanks to jay, one of the best weight cut specialist in the game!!”
Allen also thanked his sponsors for helping him out, and he was ready for the fight.
Going for another win?
Allen is in the shape of his life and the 24-year-old will be keen on picking up another win. However, Heinisch isn’t an easy opponent and he has been through a lot in his life.
The 32-year-old is coming off a win over Gerald Meerschaert and is ranked #15 in the division. Allen is unranked in the UFC but has won titles in other promotions.
Heinisch was recently speaking to Jer Wilson and added that he was looking forward to this clash. It will be interesting to see how things go between the two. Heinisch has been through a lot in his life while Allen is the young upstart and looking to break into the rankings.
