Paulo Costa is interested in Israel Adesanya’s UFC Middleweight title

Brazilian UFC star Paulo Costa has his sights on Israel Adesanya and the Middleweight title.

Borrachinha, as the Brazilian is called, is undefeated in his MMA career and last fought Joel Romero at UFC 241.

Costa has been talked up as a challenger for Adesanya, and the Brazilian sent a message for the champion.

The Brazilian suggested that Adesanya would have to kneel down to him and offer the UFC title soon.

Adesanya, for his part, is also undefeated in his MMA career. The Stylebender was in action a couple of months back.

This took place at UFC 248 which was also against Romero. However, Costa wasn’t too pleased with how the fight went.

Romero decided to take guard during the entire championship bout while Adesanya was happy to be careful of his strikes.

The match was a dud as none of the fighters even tried to hit out, and it was Adesanya that kept his title.

The next big fight?

Adesanya has always been open to fighting the top talents in the business and has called out Jon Jones in the past.

However, Jones is in another division and this fight seems unlikely at the moment. A battle between Adesanya and Costa does seem possible, especially given than both stars are undefeated in their MMA careers.

Adesanya beat Kelvin Gastelum to pick up the interim title. He then beat Robert Whittaker and unified the Middleweight titles before facing off against Romero.

Costa, for his part, has defeated stars such as Uriah Hall and Johny Hendricks. The Brazilian is also regarded as one of the toughest fighters in the UFC, and it will be interesting to see if he does get his hands of Adesanya.
