WWE superstar Brock Lesnar has denied any possibility that he will return to the Octagon in the future.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has settled on his decision that he will not return to the MMA world. The 44-year-old went on to state that the UFC is a ‘young man’s sport’ and put an end to any potential speculation of a return to the business.
Lesnar’s last fight in the Octagon took place in 2016 against Mark Hunt which resulted in an NC after Lesnar tested positive for clomiphene. He was declared the winner but that win was later stripped off his record.
He is currently signed to the WWE and plans to remain in the wrestling business itself. Lesnar was tipped to return to the UFC in 2019 to face Daniel Cormier but it didn’t go through at the end. The WWE star was also rumoured to join Bellator but has not firmly shut down any talks of an MMA return.

Lesnar recently sat down with the New York Post and during the interview claimed that he has no interest in returning to the UFC when asked about going back to MMA. However, Lesnar was quick to thank his bosses at the UFC for offering him the opportunity to showcase his talents in the Octagon.“That door is closed. You know what, Dana White, the Fertitta brothers [Lorenzo and Frank] were exceptional to me.” Lesnar said.
Lesnar’s MMA career started in 2007 with a quick win over Min Soo Kim and he was then signed to the UFC. His first bout in the Octagon resulted in a loss against Frank Mir after he submitted to a kneebar. In the fight following his first UFC win, he defeated Randy Couture for the UFC heavyweight title.
He then managed two title defences against Frank Mir and Shane Carwin but eventually lost the belt to Cain Velasquez. Lesnar then suffered defeat against Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 in 2011. With Lesnar now officially calling it quits with MMA, by his own admission, he finishes with a record of 5 wins, three defeats and 1 NC.
