Legendary UFC announcer Bruce Buffer to miss out on UFC 267 because of Covid

It has been recently revealed that Bruce Buffer will not be announcing fights in the upcoming UFC 267 after getting Covid. This will be the first PPV in the UFC since 1996 in which the legendary announcer will not feature.

Ariel Helwani reported the news on his Twitter handle where he stated:

“Checked in with the legend @brucebuffer to see how he is feeling. He isn’t going to work UFC 267 because he got COVID. First time he misses a PPV since UFC 8 on Feb. 16, 1996.”

As seen in the tweet made by Helwani, Buffer said that he has finished his 14-day quarantine and will return for the UFC 268 which will take place at the Madison Square Garden a week after UFC 267.

UFC 267 to feature a special guest

Internet sensation Hasbulla Magomedov is set to be present at the UFC 267 at Abu Dhabi. As per reports, Magomedov is coming to support his fellow countryman Islam Makhachev for his fight against Dan Hooker.

Magomedov has been frequently seen with Khabib Nurmagomedov and his crew and it is very likely that he will be present during Makhachev’s fight along with Nurmagomedov who is also a member of his camp. The UFC 267 is set to be a massive event and the UFC is returning to fight island for the first time since the venues in America have opened up.
