Bryce Mitchell also throws his name into the hat to fight Islam Makhachev next

Islam Makhachev and team have been in search of his ever eluding next fight

Makhachev might have fought only at UFC 259 in March, this year; but that is not how the Dagestanis go about their business. They’re constantly in search of fights as long as they’re fit enough to do so.

And likewise, Makhachev has been trying to do the same. But he has had little or no luck since top-ranked lightweights like Rafael dos Anjos and Paul Felder he had called out, turned down his fight.

Hence, his fellow Dagestani brother, Khabib Nurmagomedov took to Twitter, cheekily stating that Makhachev is in dire need of a fight.

Khabib tweeted:

“This guy want some fish. @danawhite you promised him last time )))) @MAKHACHEVMMA @espnmma @ufc.”

That’s when number 12 ranked featherweight Bryce Mitchell decided to step in. ‘Thug Nasty’ claimed that he was ready to take on Makhachev with a simple message- “Where y’all at.”

Bryce Mitchell had called out Gregor Gillespie earlier

Prior to calling out Islam Makhachev, Bryce Mitchell took a dig at UFC lightweight Gregor Gillespie.

Gillespie beat Carlos Diego Ferreira earlier today at UFC Vegas 26, and soon after his victory, was called out by Mitchell.

Mitchell claimed that Gillespie was nowhere close to the fisherman he is, in MMA.

Here is what Thug Nasty wrote:

“No disrespect to Gregor but I’m the best fisherman in the ufc . It ain’t close my brotha.”

It is worthy noting that the fight against Ferreira went ahead as a catchweight bout, and Gillespie won the Fight of the Night bonus for his victory.
