Belal Muhammad wants a piece of Khamzat Chimaev but Borz doesn’t believe his rival is a tough opponent
Khamzat Chimaev took a dim view of Belal Muhammad’s latest call out. Muhammad put up a clinic against Stephen Thompson and picked up a unanimous decision win at UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Daukaus.
This was Bully’s sixth win in seven outings and he was quick to call out a few stars. While Kamaru Usman, the UFC welterweight champion, is on his radar, the 33-year-old also responded to claims from Dana White.
The UFC president claimed that only Neil Magny wanted to fight Khamzat Chimaev. However, Muhammad used a classic Khabib Nurmagomedov quote to call out Borz:
“Send me location @danawhite @seanshelby @ufc”
Khamzat, for his part, is undefeated in his UFC career but he sent a warning to Muhammad. The Swede brought up the no-contest between Leon Edwards and Muhammad.
Edwards dominated Muhammad in that fight but several eye pokes left Bully unable to continue. Muhammad wants a rematch with Edwards to get a win. However, Khamzat claimed that Bully would be unable to survive in the Octagon with him since he couldn’t deal with an eye poke.
“When you got a finger in your eye you gave up, how you even gonna think to fight me? Bull**** boy”
Borz’s last opponent was 13-ranked UFC welterweight Li Jingliang. Khamzat made light work of his opponent and recorded his 10th win in a row.
While Borz dreams of a title shot, he still needs another win or two against ranked opponents. Muhammad is flying high at #5 in the UFC, and it will be interesting to see if this clash is set up.
Muhammad is in the form of his UFC career, but facing Khamzat could be his biggest test to date.
