Elon Musk has driverless cars and it seems he would be an easy bet to win the Daytona 500, according to Chael Sonnen
Chael Sonnen is one of the biggest names in the MMA world and The Bad Guy is not afraid to share his opinions.
Sonnen has an extremely popular podcast and YouTube channel, but he often shares some great nuggets on social media too.
His Twitter feed is filled with some interesting takes, and one of them is regarding Elon Musk and the Daytona 500.
The Daytona 500 is one of the biggest motor races in the world and is part of the Nascar series. It was first held in 1959 and is the season opener for the Nascar series since 1982.
It is a 500-mile race and has seen some great action over its years. While Chevrolet, Ford, Toyota and Dodge are some of the big manufacturers to have won the race, Sonnen believes Tesla could do a number.
The UFC legend claimed that special rules would be needed to stop Musk’s Tesla car from winning the race, and they could also go without a driver.
Chael Sonnen backs up Tesla theory
This was the second tweet regarding the Nascar series, and he brought up some frustration that some fans had regarding the race.
However, the UFC star claimed that fans should “pray” that Musk did not enter a Tesla in the competition.
The Daytona 500 is not an easy race and setting up a car is just half the job. The racer also has to be in the zone to pick up the title, and there is also the danger of crashing out at high speed.
Musk has made it his calling card to do something incredible in the technology world with his Teslas and SpaceX programme, and you wouldn’t rule him out from entering a driverless car into a race soon.
