Everyone has a set of wrestlers they consider as the greatest ever

Right from its inception in the 1950s till date, a stockpile of wrestlers have graced the ring. A large chunk of them went on to become renowned names in the industry. But, only a select few stood out.

Right from Bruno Sammartino to Roman Reigns, fans have witnessed greatness and history in the making.

Elsewhere, former UFC Fighter and current analyst Chael Sonnen, who is a big fan of the WWE, recently revealed the names of wrestlers whom he felt were the greatest ever.

Hulk Hogan is a legend in the WWE business (WWE)

Uncle Chael picked Hulk Hogan, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and Chris Jericho as his three greatest wrestlers of all time. Sonnen also acknowledged the show ‘The Dark Side of the Ring’ which brings out some of the darkest stories in wrestling.

Sonnen tweeted:

“Accept @IAmJericho as top 3 EVER. “DARKSIDE” is a game changer. HULK/AUSTIN/JERICHO. Fight about the order, but they are the 3 biggest EVER.”

Hulk Hogan dominated the WWF during the 1980s, and Steve Austin was one of the greatest ever do it, he peaked during the late 90s and early 2000s.

Jericho, on the other hand, had been a prominent figure in the early 2000s until mid-2010.

Of course, Sonnen might have missed out on a lot of big names! Hence, replied to Sonnen asking him what he thought about the Rock.

Sonnen said that he felt that the Rock also was one among the greatest.

Chael Sonnen once planned to buy the WWE

Uncle Chael is one of the greatest UFC fighters to have never won a UFC championship, and hence his net worth stands at a staggering $10 million (quite high for a UFC fighter).

However, in 2013 Sonnen had one of the loftiest dreams ever, when he expressed his desire to purchase the WWE after his retirement, which was then valued at a whopping $700 million.

A lot of people thought it was a joke until Sonnen’s representative confirmed that he was being serious.

But the purchase fell through as the WWE representatives announced that the promotion was not for sale, requesting Uncle Sonnen to purchase stock in the company instead.
