UFC heavyweight Jon Jones blocked his former on-court rival Chael Sonnen on Twitter

Retired UFC fighter Chael Sonnen and Jon Jones’ feud dates back to at least 2012. Their relationship turned bitter when they became the coaches of their respective teams for the 17th season of the Ultimate Fighter.

Jones settled their on-court rivalry at UFC 159 after he knocked out Sonnen in the very first round of the fight.

But their off-court beef continues until this day. Periodically, the pair keep taking shots at each other on social media, especially on Twitter.

And, now that Sonnen has got his own YouTube channel, he has a great platform to discuss about Jones.

More recently, Sonnen shared a screengrab on Twitter which showed that he was blocked by Jones on Twitter.

Uncle Chael proudly shared the screenshot calling Jones a coward and that he had beat Jones via. submission.

Here is what Sonnen’s tweet read:

“And the Tap comes at 8:43, the WINNER by SUBMISSION (COWARDICE), and STILL UNDEFEATED, the BAD GUY, CHAAAAEEELLLL SONNNNNENNNNN!!!”

Who is Jon Jones fighting next?

It has been almost a year since Jones relinquished his light-heavyweight title and moved to the heavyweight division.

Despite putting in the hard yards and actively packing on the muscle, he has still not stepped inside the Octagon as a heavyweight.

A HW debut fight against the champ Francis Ngannou is still in doubt after his payment feud with the UFC President Dana White.

Jones was given a suggestion to fight Stipe Miocic, to which he denied saying that he wouldn’t fight someone who was down and out (Miocic was demolished by Ngannou recently).

However, fight fans do believe that the fight against Ngannou would happen someday.
