Chael Sonnen sheds some insights on why Tyron Woodley believes Tony Ferguson will beat Beneil Dariush
Ferguson and Dariush will be squaring off in front of a full house at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Their co-main event, which is a lightweight bout, will be for 3 rounds since it is not for any championship.
Ferguson has been dipping while Dariush has been soaring. ‘El Cucuy’s’ last win came in June 2019, and since then he hasn’t won a fight.
Dariush, on the other hand, hasn’t lost one since 2018. He is currently on a 6-fight unbeaten run. And there is no denying the fact that Dariush is one tough guy.
Elsewhere, newly released UFC Welterweight Tyron Woodley picked Ferguson to come up trumps against Dariush.
Former UFC Fighter Chael Sonnen revealed why Woodley picked Ferguson to win over Dariush in his YouTube video. Sonnen told that Woodley had picked ‘El Cucuy’ since it will be a three-round fight and hence Ferguson would go all out.
Here is what Uncle Chael had to say:
“T-Wood took Tony. Well, what Tyron really liked is that, it is a three-round contest and Tony can just go all-out and nobody can keep up with his pace. You know what? I fully agree with that and I know just what he’s talking about.”
Tyron Woodley sends a ‘violent message’ to Jake Paul
Jake Paul has been earning the wrath of a plethora of MMA stars, and Woodley is one among them. T-Wood was particularly upset when Paul and his trainer J’Leon Love disrespected him backstage after the Ben Askren fight.
And in a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Woodley called out ‘The Problem Child’ saying that he was ready to fight him anytime of the day.
Woodley was quoted as saying:
“Come and get this smoke for real…I’m in and I can actually find him. People that keep talking about fighting him, they’re not even in a position to fight him. I can actually fight him. I can fight him tomorrow if I want to.”
